Car Insurance Lincoln (Car Insurance). What is the average time amount insurance provides car rentals after accident? What is the average time amount insurance provides car rentals after accident? My car was totaled in an accident in which I was found zero percent at fault. An offer was made for the value of my car and the adjustor said they would end the payment of my car rental three days from the "offer" despite me not accepting the offer yet. I've had the rental for 2 weeks. Is that a good amount of time. My policy says a "max of 30 days" which would be about 4 weeks. Note: AAA Souther California Insurance Your policy states a max of thirty days, but that's not all. Coverage ends when the repairs have been completed, or an offer made on a total loss, OR 30 days of coverage, whichever comes FIRST. Generally 30 days maximum or until they have made an offer of settlement. Once they have you return the rental. You can't keep it while trying to find a replacement car. Is the offer any good? They use the average Kelly Blue Book price and that's all you get. That is average on the rental time. When a body shop takes too long they make them pay for the rental. Lincoln . How to Remove the Gas Filler Tube From a 1995 ExplorerFord Motor Company introduced the Explorer nameplate on an upgraded F-150 model in the late 1960s, and the Ford Explorer SUV was introduced in 1991. The 1995 Ford Explorer has a fuel tank assembly mounted on the driver's side of the vehicle, parallel to the front-to-back frame rails. The fuel filler on the 1995 Explorer can corrode or rust through over time, necessitating removal and replacement. Removal of the fuel filler neck from the fuel cap to the fuel tank involves working with gasoline and flammable parts. Difficulty:Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need 1/4-inch drive ratchet and socket set, with 6-inch or longer extension 2-ton or greater capacity floor jack 2 jack stands, 2-ton capacity or greaterSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Lift the rear driver's side of the Explorer using a 2-ton jack -- or a jack with greater capacity -- under the rear axle housing. Place a jack stand beneath the axle housing on the driver's side, just inside the wheel. Lift the front driver's side of the Explorer with the jack, utilizing the frame rail to lift the truck. Place a jack stand beneath the front frame rail just behind the front wheel. Placing the jack stands at these points will give you the lowest center of gravity. 2 Open the fuel filler door. Remove the three fuel filler mounting bolts from around the fuel filler spout, using a 1/4-inch drive ratchet and socket, along with a 6-inch or longer extension. Adding an extension between the ratchet and socket will give you better reach to the bolts, as well as leave your hands free to maneuver the ratchet without banging your knuckles. Turn all three bolts counterclockwise until you can remove them by hand. 3 Lie next to the driver's side of the Explorer and slide your body just inside the frame rail. Visually inspect and locate the fuel filler neck where it joins the side of the fuel tank. This spot is visible without crawling too far beneath the truck. Loosen the hose clamp that joins the fuel filler neck to the side of the fuel tank. Use a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket, along with a 6-inch or longer extension, to loosen the clamp. Reach your hand up to the side of the tank and remove the fuel filler tube in a twisting and pulling motion. Remove the filler tubing from the side of the fuel tank. 4 Visually inspect and locate the hose clamp that joins the vapor return tube to the vapor return hose. The tube is metal; the hose is rubber. The vapor return system is the smaller tubing that runs parallel to the fuel filler neck, but diverts to the top of the fuel tank and into the fuel pump. Loosen the hose clamp that joins the vapor tube to the hose. Separate the vapor hose and tube by pulling them apart with your hands. 5 Remove yourself from beneath the explorer. Stand next to the fuel filler door. Remove the fuel filler neck and vapor hose by pulling them straight toward you from outside the frame of the truck. You will have to twist and turn the fuel filler neck slightly to accompany the various bends it has on its route to the fuel tank. Turn the neck left to right to maneuver past these bends. Remove the fuel filler neck completely from the Explorer. Tips & Warnings This project deals with automotive gasoline and gasoline-saturated auto parts. Gasoline is a petroleum-based product which is highly flammable in both liquid and gas vapor forms. Keep this entire project away from open flame, excess heat, spark, static electrical charges and cigarette smoking. Failure to adhere to this warning could result in vehicle fire, personal injury or death. Please read the material safety data sheet on automotive gasoline that accompanies this project, to help you understand the severity and the safety precautions you must use when dealing with automotive gasoline. *The car won't start on rainy days. Check inside the distributor cap for dampness (see "Servicing Your Distributor" in Chapter 12). If you find moisture, get some mechanic's solvent from your friendly service station — they use it to clean car parts — or buy an aerosol can of it at an auto supply store. To evaporate any dampness inside the distributor cap, turn the cap upside down and pour or spray some solvent into it. Swish it around and pour it out. Then dry the cap as best you can with a clean, lint-free rag and replace the cap. .Chapter 21: What to Do If Your Car Drops Dead or Won't Start A /j 2 Use only clean solvent; even a tiny speck of dirt can foul the points. Gasoline won't do because a spark can ignite gasoline fumes and cause an explosion or a fire. *" The car won't start on cold mornings. For vehicles with carburetors, check the choke. Is it closed? Does it open? See Chapter 13 for details. If you have fuel injection, you'll need to have a professional diagnose the cold-start problems. 963

Porsche 911. * check the octane rating of the fuel you're using. The owner's manual can tell you whether your vehicle needs regular unleaded or premium gasoline. Check the cooling system (see Chapter 14). Do a compression check on the engine cylinders (see the section "Checking the Compression in Your Cylinders" in Chapter 13). Jumping, a start If your battery has died, you may be able to use jumper cables to jump a start from some Good Samaritan's car — with one important exception. If either vehicle has an electronic ignition system, the use of jumper cables may damage it. If your vehicle is one that may be damaged in this way, you may find a warning to that effect in the owner's manual or on a decal under the hood. Even if you don't find a warning, it pays to be sure, so call the service department at your dealership and ask about your vehicle's make, model, and year. If you can safely use jumper cables on your vehicle, make sure that the battery on the Good Samaritan's vehicle has at least as much voltage as your own. It doesn't matter whether your car has negative ground and the GS's car has positive ground, or your car has an alternator and the GS's car has a generator, as long as you hook up the cables properly (and the proper way is the same in every case).
